Diskit Monastery is the oldest and largest Buddhist monastery in the Nubra Valley of Ladakh, founded in the 14th century by Changzem Tserab Zangpo, a disciple of Tsongkhapa. Perched on a hill above the village of Diskit, it offers sweeping views of the valley and the Shyok River.
